The Journey

At the jetty
I raised my hands in prayers
Praying to God to calm the sea
As we are about to embark on the journey
This journey was the journey of returning the dead
Gazing at the brackish water
Feeling how it flows
And how the whistling breeze sings
With songs and prayers
We got to the land
Surrounded by ocean
On returning from the journey
of returning the dead
Met us a high wave
About to capside our boat
Hell no! We wailed
We crossed the sea in fears.
