But Mistress...

The heart in love is a coffin
No two at one time to stay, one paves way
Words very aromatic, enticements tempting
Actions beyond doubt
Love in the very air I breathe

But mistress,
You took an oath of fidelity
For better for worse, in happiness and sorrow
What you feel for me is new to you
You feel renewed in love
But mistress, you heir my age mate

New love in old body you plead
Wealth of experience, antidote to my naivety
No flirting around you, you warn
Can't share a heart with them
Their bills on me, too expensive you advise

But mistress, the master,
will be cross with our betrayal it's risky!
He's a lazy bone, a diminished candle
No more light you argue!
New broom sweeps better you remind

But mistress I've made my mind up
I won't trade integrity for bills
Morals for earning, my love for experience!
I'll build from scratch where you began -
but differently - with fidelity.
Taking a step at a time.
