I Know Not

I know not of eloquent poetic words and rhyme
Nor the ends of the universe nor the beginning of time
I know not of the cruelty of this world of which
They say can drive you nuts, like potions of a witch

But I know of my heartbeat's rythm and melody
The love resonating like a glorious symphony
And I know whom it beats for day and night
Rapapampam, like the little drummer boy's drum tight

I know not what life holds for me and you
Nor if love is the strongest glue
I know not what love's tests are, or will be
Separation, betrayal or sweet pain's melody

But if I must leave for a moment
I leave footprints in the sand of this torment
Am sure one day, one of is will come back looking
For this love we share unending
