The Western Stars
On my blankets I was lyin-
Too tired to lift my head,
An- the long hot day was dyin-
An- I wished that I was dead.
From the West the gold was driven.
I watched the death of day,
An- the distant stars of Heaven
Seemed to draw my heart away.
