Letter To My Girl

So, I know we've been talking for a bit you and
I, nothing too serious it looks like we're not even giving it a try.
From time to time it feels like
we've been on the same spot for too long and facing reality,
the truth is I can't help but cry.
Where we are is nothing impressive cause thousands have been here
and have failed to make it to the starting line, funny!
I know, we're like children playing house acting like
we know what the world has In store for us but we don't,
we don't have this figured out and
I know deep down in my beating heart that
I want to figure this out with no one else but you.
But In case we break up,
I want you to know that you owe me.
A walk down the Zambezi river,
talks for days and a dance like a diva.
You owe me a kiss plus some,
under the light of a moonless night,
yes you owe me this.
An ice cream date but we can do that as we walk
if we can find the perfect place!
Quiet and not too populated, sunny preferably
but we could eat ice cream on a cold winter's day.
But here's what I really want to say,
just in case we break up, I don't want us apart!
You're my best friend, you have my heart!
So let's not break up cause that would suck.
