I Was Once Lazy
I was once lazy—
Lazy to wake,
Lazy to walk,
Lazy to talk,
Too lazy to take.
I was once lazy—
Lazy to act,
Lazy to react,
Yet I never wished to be lazy to rise,
Even if it meant being lazy to fall.
