The Giant

On this day in 2020
The giant came like a thunderous bomb
Throwing missiles at his helpless flesh
I was afraid that people cannot help me.
I heard a voice whispering to me like a thin swoosh noise
Telling me to be strong.
He has all the symptoms,
They form circle around him and
Beat drums on his head.
I see Angel's in white apparels
Singing strange songs
But the one they sing for
Refused to dance.
Covid -19
When cure becomes an unending hope,
Physicians watching my fragile body.
Nurses give me a long dumb look like animal look.
The world feeling the wrath of the angry giant,
Killing servants and kings.
I say to the spirit
If this delights in your heart
Then leave us to die.
If not
Send us a cure,
Free us from the angry giant.
Let your love shine like stars,
May your love chase away the pains of the disease
From our dying souls.
