Children Of The World

Sorrow filled our tender hearts
Because of the pain caused by the ravaging wars.
A great disaster we cannot bear.
Tears of sorrow streaming down our tender cheeks.
Innocent minds caught up in the waves of violence.
I feel your pain from the depths of my heart.
What evil has befallen our world?
Why destroy our future?
Why bury our dreams under the ashes of war.
Children taking shelter in the streets
And parents having nothing to do.
Don't let hunger and starvation end our beautiful dreams.
Lead us to a place of joy
Where childhood melodies can be heard.
Our ears are tired of deafening gunshots.
Enough is enough
We need peace to realize our potentials.
