One Day You'll Die

ONE DAY YOU'LL DIE

You won't live on this earth forever
No matter how much you may try
Death will come knocking ever
Then you'll certainly turn dry

Death is inevitable
It will come suddenly like a rocket
No man will be immutable
Every one will kick that bucket

When you eventually cross over
To the other side of eternity
One day you'll handover
This clarion call is a certainty

When you close your eyes in death
What will you be remembered for?
When your time is over here on earth
What legacy will you be known for?

Poet's note: One day you will die. Death is inevitable. But the issue is this: what will you be remembered for? This is the message for everyone: strive to leave a lasting legacy behind.
