Deep In Silence

i stared at all my stars as each one fell to the ground
i opened my mouth to scream but failed to make a single sound
The serpent's tail wrapped all around my body as i fight to breathe
Making all these decisions, contemplating, wondering where they'll all lead
Standing at the edge and thinking maybe it should all end;

Praying that this broken heart is what God would start to mend
Then just as i take that final step and slowly begin
to
fall
From the distant winds i hear his voice as a silent but threatening call
The sound of his voice held onto me and it was all made new
I took a deep breath, grew wings and I flew
