Sonnet To The Unseen

Two days unseen is like eternity
Love rages and consumes my being
Burning desire, burnt in its entirety
Constantly on the look out yet nothing
And like the wind, she breezes past
Leaving whispers of scanty heys and hellos
I try to catch her, my heart beats fast
Like hummingbirds, she's gone singing solos
Solos of catch ya and I'll see you later
I hope still; but is hope enough to get her?
She is the unseen that withholds evidence
Should I sing her a song or buy her flowers?
Will it bring her down from that high fence?
Or maybe, just maybe I take her to Mars?
