The Flower In My Garden

I tilled a garden once upon a time.
In this garden of mine,
Was a budding flower
Which needed the smooth caresses of water,
And the bitter kisses of sunshine.
To grow fine.

The biting touches of the shear
Rid it of insects and unholy pests.
Soon, it became a blossoming beauty,
Feeding the garden with sweet fragrance.
But this fair flower from the earth,
Was soon kissed by the lips of death.
