The Face Mask

Oh! What discomfort all day long
What frustration from day to day!
To appear with the look of an armed robber,
Just to live by the set down rules,
All in the name of prevention!
Our noses have been denied of their rights,
The effective flow of oxygen has been cut short,
All because of prevention!
Our right to seamless breathing has been borrowed,
The gates have been closed, carbon dioxide can no longer escape,
Unto what? prevention!
Refusal to cover the nose is a legal trespass,
Face masks are now a common fashion, like a renowned designer's latest product, seen all around.
Face mask companies booming with increased production,
generating income like never before,
Fashion designers reviewing their focus,
Lots of face masks, various modifications;
Different face mask improvisations made,
A nobody is now the bestseller.
We need to release the locked down freedom of our noses;
We need to possess our possessions.
