Mōknor’s Silence — The Forgotten Resting Place Of 'ka Weipun Raŋkit'

Nestled deep, where silence swells,
Raŋtaŋ Dalloi guards it well,
Mûnkrem weeps, her whispers spell—
A tale removed, a shattered knell;
Mōknor fades, yet vain remains!
Stones once stood, now torn apart,
Fading river, broken heart,
Who will mend what time did start?
Who still feels her silent art?
Who still walks her hollow path?
Voices drown in falling rain,
Names erased, but not the pain;
Will they rise, or bow in vain?
Will they stand, defy the chain?
Spell removed, yet truth will stay!

Poet's note: The poem reflects on the forgotten resting place of 'Ka Weipun Raŋkit' and the fading connection between history, land, and people. 'Mōknor', It is believed to be the resting place of 'Ka Weipun Rangkit', a revered ancestral guardian of the "Soo Kpoh Khat-ar Wyrnai" clan, particularly the Nikhla family. Her sacred resting place, has sadly been destroyed and lost, reflecting the gradual neglect of this heritage. Alongside this loss, the serene beauty of the river she once protected is also fading.
