Daily Prayer

As I live this day,
Leave me not alone, lest I stray
But guide my steps into the right way
Let your light shine in my path
For Earth is full of traps and mishaps
Wrap my words with your gentle wisdom
That I be able to affirm your kingdom
In my heart, pour your love and kindness
That the disdained I be able to embrace
And fill their souls with happiness

Let this day be as you intended for me
For I know that am not an own master
Mortal I be--weak and prone to disaster
That's why I need you to be the super stellar
You take the lead and I will be in the trailer
O dear Lord, hear my prayer!
