Tollgate Killing

We cried for a change, yet rage,
We complained, still a lot of pain,
In a cage that causes stain;
Pretty pitied pre-occupied cage,
Leaders in their deceitful lane.

Claiming to curb what they are,
Come let's curse the accursed,
Enough of we being rejected;
Twinkling stars and hope of tomorrow,
To bring change, we went together.

Obviously, we crossed our lane,
Butchered down like Fulani cows,
Many were fallen in the rows;
Bloody, yet steady !, tears in our own lane,
Are we now better off than cows?

Thereafter, nothing was done,
The present and the future are now enemies,
We were suppose to be families;
To silent the future, they have done,
On the shoulder of the present lies the future.
