Our World
Absurd silenced them,
Souls with twinkling stars,
Babies birthing babies,
Very normal to them.
Absurd rejoices so deeply,
Society prefers it,
Children grows steadily,
Only to mother younger children.
Absurd makes the difference,
Other children depends,
And others seems dependable,
Struggling so beautifully.

Poet's note: This poem is written in 2021 to the larger society, especially to the contemporary Nigerian society where children gives birth to children. Pre-marital sex that brings about giving birth outside wedlock is now the order of the day.
What is absurd is now the order of the day and the poem is a call for a change.
