Feelings And The Mind

We met once and I didn't fall in deep
Not because you were not my type
But I didn't want to make you cheap

You sounded good in every aspect
My feelings told me you're so perfect
That you don't deserve to be a surrogate

My mind was sensing danger
Telling me that you're a stranger
It made me live a life of anger

As the conversation intensity increased
The thought in my mind disappeared
My feelings for you began to mold

I discovered that you like reading
That was motivation to my writing
Your love for music fuels my singing

Now my feelings and the mind
Are walking along the same road
I can't even get you out of my mind
I want our souls to be intertwined
