The Clock

The clock talked loud;
I threw it away.
It scared me what it said.

The cock screamed loud;
I cut off it's head.
It scared me what it shouted.

The hourglass whispered;
I destroyed it.
It was unrest what it said.

Then the preacher said something;
I shot him.
Afraid was I just what he said.

The hourglass, the clock,
The preacher and the cock...
All said but one thing
About judgement day.
