Roses Are Dead
Roses were red,
Violets were blue,
Nectar was sweet
And love was true.
Then came a woman
In Eden of old;
Red fell to black,
What's dust was once gold.
Now sugar is bitter,
Love is a myth...
What once was a Paradise
Is a wretched earth.
Roses are dead,
Violets are too.
Man's a pretender
And nothing is true.
