Nonhlanhla Mhayise
Nonhlanhla Mhayise.
A girl from the woods
Plumpy as a young Pigeon,
All she liked was well cooked food.
Nonhlanhla Mhayise.
She was a friend of mine
Respected elders, read the Bible,
She drank no wine.
Nonhlanhla Mhayise.
She used to sing a song
Happy all along
But never sang for so long.
A beautiful princess
For every lad's interest .
When she started to talk
Her voice was pleasant to the heavens.
I hope in paradise together
We'll be singing proud.
God, keep her voice, 'cause forever
We'll be moving a crowd.
