It's About Time

Let us talk to the birds visiting us in summer,
Let us talk to the afternoon shadow,
Let us raise our pets to our level,
Let us raise our decibels...
It's about time.

Let us talk to the palarising heat in the air,
Let us pick our items from the rubbish heap,
Let us talk to the moon going down,
Let us talk to the peach tree...
It's about time.

It's about time we all appeal,
Let us talk to Mr Roosevelt
Maybe by the end of the day
We'll be knowing a thing or two
For a New Deal...

It's about time we dig into the grave;
Let us call on the brave!
It's about time the smaller works with the mightier,
It's about time we call on the fighters
It's about time we call on the brave!

It's about time we mix our capacities
And fix our capabilities.
It's about time we raise our decibels
To the mighty Mdzimba mountains...
It's about time we talk to the rebels
To pour down the Swazi fountains.

Let us talk to the birds visiting us in summer,
Just how much do they spend from New York City?
Let us borrow from them their extra fees;
Perhaps it could pay a Swazi child to college.
Let us call on the rebels, the fighters, the champions
of change:
It's about time!!
