A Floating Butterfly

A floating butterfly came
And to the petal stood.
They looked alike the same,
The butterfly and the bud.

Then came a chameleon,
He did not know I saw.
Savage like a lion...
He ate the fellow, raw.

Then danced a dance of victory,
And sauntered bold and slow.
Long I stood he never saw me,
I watched the fellow go.
