Life And Death

Sweet are some moments -
Refrains of happy, healthy breath;
Some turn harder and bitter
We must have to fight life to death.

Time robs us of the loved ones
Putting our patience to a hard test;
Filled with awe and dismay
We overcome it but beat our chest.

The body goes up in flames
With an adieu to the departed soul;
Our heart left in our mouth
Makes us all introspect as a whole.

Life is in cahoots with Death
And overpowered by their brutality,
A life meets a dusty death,
We do dust away the scaring reality.
