Ted Ode

one day daunted
i bestrode
my squaretoed
bed
and strode
along the road,

wondered
if i could
encode
a good ode, and

inferred
it's high tide
i reminded
my ted he'd
been a good
friend, &

not to dread
the bed
he every made
day kayoed.

Poet's note: This is contradictorily a rhyming ode to a friend, Ted, a lifeless bear.
