The Soul's Compass
(Never Felt Like This)
At the time, I was at my worst,
Lost in the patterns of my own behavior.
But you reached out and showed me the way,
Whispering that there is more to this life
Than what meets the eye.
I cannot claim to be perfect—not yet—
But for the first time, I am whole.
I have a direction;
I have a soul purpose now.

Poet's note: To me, this poem is about the grace of imperfection. The line "I can’t say am perfect now" is the most important part. It suggests that growth isn't about becoming a saint overnight; it’s about changing your trajectory. It means that having a purpose is more valuable than having a clean track record. It celebrates the "eye-opening" moments that change how we see the world forever.
