A Glimpse Of My Life

Stanza 1:
Well, it’s a tale about an innocent girl,
Chasing her dreams in this cruel world;
They pushed her down and made her fall
But she got up again and conquered them all.
And so she says…

Stanza 2:
I was just a kid living in my vivid dreams
When I started realizing their wicked schemes.
Many times I’ve been raided and cornered,
It took everything in me to be outnumbered.

Stanza 3:
Tired of my solitude, I let you in
You seemed to be the best place I had ever been.
You gave me all your love, you gave me all your care
There wasn’t any secret that we wouldn’t share.

Stanza 4:
Then life took us to a new phase;
Our love went from sunshine to rain.
Under that umbrella I called out your name
But you ignored the echoes and all my pain.

Stanza 5:
This was the final blow that hit
Repeating history made me sick of it
So, it was time for me to show
A side of me they didn’t know

Stanza 6:
I’m not a perfect person I must say;
There’re many things I did wrong,
But it’s not something I must live with, everyday.
So I took out a paper and wrote down my song.

Stanza 7:
A few years have passed and now the things are different,
They say they want me back and that they miss my presence.
But I can’t go back to where I used to be
‘Coz now I’ve turned into a different me.
Though I still remember the storm that flew me so far,
Now I hear the crowd scream each time I strum my guitar!

Stanza 8:
Here I am again, thinking about what’s gone,
Reflecting the things I shouldn’t have done.
But life gave me a chance to start over new
And the process of learning continues.

Stanza 9:
Well, here ends the tale about an innocent girl;
Chasing her dreams in this cruel world.
Yeah they pushed her down and made her fall
And that’s how she conquered them all.
