The Vast Cosmic Space

Like the ocean mimics the sky blue
I see you and my heart skips along
A breeze escapes the crashing waves and soothes my soul
My heart; a barren moonsoon longing for the rain
The only thing it makes out is pain
You embody kindness and cruelty
When you are next to me my gaiety
The dearth of you torturous
Time flows and elation lost
Draw closer and my downcast face is lit
On the edge of this fearful cliff i sit
You exist in the now, in my waking
But in the killing of my slumber that is awaiting
Will i find you here still in my firm and unsure embrace
Or adrift in the empty vast cosmic space.
