If I could save wildlife,
keep it from dying,
I would save birdlife,
And avoid the willow’s crying…
The blue jays would sing,
Leading the bird’s chorus,
All the bees flying,
The poet consulting her thesaurus.
The world would be better,
Not close to being perfect,
Unfortunately, we are all debtors,
I wonder if we have made an effect.
