Potpourri

Lola Ridge

Do you remember
Honey-melon moon
Dripping thick sweet light
Where Canal Street saunters off by herself among quiet trees?
And the faint decayed patchouli-
Fragrance of New Orleans
Like a dead tube rose
Upheld in the warm air…
Miraculously whole.
